The season

The 2026 UFL played as a single eight-team table, with the top four advancing. Expansion Orlando finished first at 8–2 under Coach of the Year Anthony Becht, led by MVP Jack Plummer, who topped the league with 2,188 passing yards and set a UFL record with a 17-to-1 touchdown-to-interception ratio. The league’s new four-point field goal shaped the playoffs: Louisville kicker Tanner Brown made two from 60 yards in a 29–20 semifinal win at St. Louis, while DC won 28–22 at Orlando. Louisville, in its first season, recovered from an 0–3 start and beat DC 27–20 in the United Bowl at Audi Field. Kings edge rusher Cam Gill set a league record with 10 sacks.
