There are no on-site parking lots. Nearby garages can be booked in advance (SpotHero lists options), including the GEICO Garage. Tailgating is not allowed in the garage.
Local fan tip: Military ID / CAC holders can often park free at Fort McNair (Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall), right across 2nd St SW from the stadium. Base access rules apply. Under the base's event-day parking policy, on weekends and federal holidays a vehicle with a valid DoD ID card holder on board may use non-reserved spaces. On weekdays, entry before 4:30 PM is limited to official business, and event parking is suspended on days with major base events.
Driving from Maryland or Virginia? D.C. United suggests parking at Anacostia Metro station and riding one stop to Navy Yard–Ballpark, or walking over the South Capitol Street Bridge.
Local fan tip: Avoid driving when the Nationals are also at home that day. Garage options disappear.

Best stop: Navy Yard–Ballpark (Green Line). It's still a walk, about 0.6 miles or roughly 13 minutes, but the route is signed and lined with restaurants.
Waterfront (Green Line) is the other option, about 0.9 miles or roughly 16 minutes on foot. The walk passes through residential streets, so keep the noise down.
Metrobus routes C31 and C55 stop at 2nd & R St SW and 2nd & T St SW.
Free bike valet at 2nd St SW & T St SW, plus a Capital Bikeshare dock at Potomac Ave & Half St SW.
Rideshare drop-off and pick-up is on Potomac Ave toward Nationals Park. No pick-ups on South Capitol St.

A fan favorite with Defenders fans before home games. It's on the walk from Navy Yard–Ballpark Metro, with 30+ TVs and a self-pour beer wall. It opens 2 hours before every Nationals and D.C. United game, so check hours for Defenders game days.

Solace Brewing Company's Navy Yard taproom, about a 7-minute walk (~550 m) from Audi Field. Craft beer, half-smokes and burgers, with outdoor picnic tables on the Anacostia riverfront. A good pregame stop for DC fans.
